Human and machine,
merged on your terms.
ORIENT is the symbiosis layer between you, your AI, and your computer — hands, voice, meeting context, and trusted private agents fused into one control surface. Local-first, permission-scoped, always reversible: you are amplified, never replaced.
One layer.
Every way you work.
Not another chat window. ORIENT is the orchestration and agency layer where human intent, AI capability, and machine control converge — four pillars shipping today, one trajectory: you, amplified.
Your hands are the interface.
Point, click, drag, scroll, type, and switch apps with your hands — tracked by the webcam you already own, rendered live as luminous particle hands so you always see exactly what ORIENT sees. Uncertain input degrades to no action, never a guess.
Speak into anything.
Streaming speech-to-text into any application — with spoken punctuation, live edits ("replace the last sentence"), and your own custom vocabulary. Processed on your machine, with a visible indicator whenever anything would leave it.
Present in every meeting.
Consent-first live transcription with questions, decisions, and action items extracted in real time — plus a private catch-me-up when you drift. Never covert: transcription cannot start without an affirmative yes, and screen sharing auto-hides everything.
Delegation without surrender.
Agents hold only the capabilities you grant — scoped, rate-limited, expirable, revocable in one tap. Every consequential action is previewed, approved, verified against reality, and written to a tamper-evident audit log. Deletion, sending, and execution never auto-run. Ever.
Earned autonomy,
visible intent.
ORIENT starts by observing and earns trust through an orientation process you control. Every action — human or agent — moves through the same lifecycle.
INVARIANT — delete · send · purchase · execute require explicit approval at every autonomy level. No exceptions, enforced in the broker, covered by tests.
Local-first is the architecture,
not a setting.
Gesture control, the virtual keyboard, and speech-to-text run entirely on your machine. Cloud is an optional, disclosed enhancement — never a requirement.
ORIENT keeps the owner oriented too — through visible intent, explicit permissions, reversible actions, and private-by-design processing. The ORIENT positioning statement
Free where it costs us nothing.
Paid where it earns its keep.
The local core is genuinely free — it runs on your hardware, so it costs us nothing to serve. Paid tiers add the cloud-assisted intelligence and the controls organizations need.

Frequently asked
If something's not answered here, ask a human — the early-access line goes to one.
Q.01Does ORIENT work without an internet connection?+
Yes. Gesture control, the virtual keyboard, and on-device speech-to-text are the local core — they work with zero connectivity. Cloud features (enhanced meeting intelligence, the agentic runtime) are optional and disclosed when used.
Q.02What does it cost?+
The local core is free forever — no card, no account. Pro is $18/month at launch, Team is $32/seat/month, Enterprise starts at $60/seat/month, and Lifetime Core is a $249 one-time purchase of the local feature set. Early-access testers keep the pricing they start on.
Q.03What happens to my camera and microphone data?+
Frames and audio are processed on your machine to derive hand landmarks and text. Raw camera frames and raw audio are never written to disk — the vault schema has no column for them, so there is no code path that could retain them even by accident.
Q.04Can ORIENT act on its own without my approval?+
No. Every agent action is capability-scoped and tiered: routine reversible actions can run automatically at the autonomy level you choose, but deletion, sending, purchasing, and terminal execution always require your explicit approval — regardless of autonomy level. This is enforced in the policy broker and covered by tests.
Q.05Which platforms are supported?+
macOS and Linux are live-validated today — real hardware, real end-to-end tests, real cursor moved by real gestures. Windows is a required v1 target and is next in line; the shared core already builds for it in CI.
Q.06How is this different from covert meeting or "stealth" AI tools?+
ORIENT is never covert by design. It detects screen sharing and auto-hides its overlays, shows a non-covert indicator when assistance is active, and structurally cannot start meeting transcription without an affirmative consent record.
Q.07When can I get it?+
ORIENT is in private development. Request early access below — builds roll out as platforms are validated, macOS and Linux first.
